The Bay Area is looking for a Night Field Supervisor!


Basic Functions: Ensure operations are running smoothly through various tasks.

Responsibilities: Include the following.

1. Be an active role model for all field employees at all times.

2. Ensure field crews are adhering to LEMSA and NORCAL Ambulance policies, practices and procedures and issue mentoring, education or discipline when appropriate.

3. Perform field assessments of patients as needed to ensure the safety of our crews and patients during transport.

4. Provide lift assists and ride along on priority calls to ensure the safety of our crews and patients during transport.

5. Troubleshoot equipment and vehicle issues in the field.

6. Troubleshoot transport issues with hospital staff when appropriate.

7. Respond to vehicle accidents and/or Incidents to assist and/or coordinate resources when appropriate.

8. Respond to patient incidents to assist and/or coordinate resources when appropriate.

9. Perform driver training, education and driver remediations.Perform other related duties as assigned.  

Requirements

 

Qualifications: 

To perform this job   successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty under   the Lead FTO and Station Officer job descriptions and have a minimum of six   (6) months experience working as a Lead FTO. Employees must be driver   trained. 


Education/Experience: High school diploma or   general education degree (GED); and completion of certified Emergency Medical   Technician (EMT) program Basic or Paramedic.


Language Ability: Ability to read and   interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance   instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to speak   effectively before groups of customers or employees.


Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common   sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete   variables in standardized situations.


Certifications/Licenses: State/County   Certifications: County certifications for EMT-B or EMT-P, CPR for BLS   Provider Certification, Valid California Driver’s License, Medical Examiner’s   Certification, Ambulance Drivers Certification, DMV Driving Record in good   standing in accordance to insurance company standards.


Equipment: To perform this job successfully,   an individual must use a variety of equipment including gurney, wheelchairs, and other medical and ambulance related devices.
