Description
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and specifications
- Build and assemble dies, molds, jigs, fixtures, and cutting tools
- Operate machines such as:
- CNC machines
- Lathes
- Milling machines
- Grinders
- Repair and maintain worn or damaged tooling
- Measure parts using precision tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
- Test tools to make sure they produce parts correctly
- Work with engineers to improve designs

- Strong math and mechanical skills
- Blueprint reading
- Precision measurement
- Problem solving
- Attention to detail
- CNC / machining knowledge
- Metalworking experience
