Technical Manager
Description

This position is responsible for managing Facility Waste Acceptance, Special Projects, Lab Activities, Customer Services and Project Management. This is a salaried, exempt position. 


Duties may include but are not limited to:

· Manage and supervise Facility Waste Acceptance, Special Projects, Lab Activities (including treatment recipe development and analytical review), Customer Services, and Project Management (on and off-site).

· Ensure that all wastes shipped for disposal meet the disposal Waste Acceptance Criteria.

· Assist and support with the inspecting/sampling of all incoming waste streams for Profile Verification. 

· Apply significant knowledge of industry trends and development to improve throughput efficiency of the Facility and new process development.

· Support Permit and License renewals.

· Support Sales Department with technical information and cost proposals.

· Provide technical direction and support to resolve any technical issues with the inside customer (operation) and our outside customers.

· Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for your area of responsibility.

· Thorough knowledge of all plant operations and procedures.

· Thorough knowledge of Energy Solutions, Waste Control Specialists, US Ecology, Hanford and NTS Disposal Waste Acceptance requirements.

· Significant knowledge of RCRA, TSCA, NRC and DOT regulations.

· Facilitate effective team interaction and ability to establish lasting relationships with clients.

· Maintain a safe working environment. 

· Assist in design, and construction of new laboratory, including identifying laboratory, infrastructure, instrumentation, procedures etc.

· Assist in hiring, training and retention of laboratory employees

· Be an integral part of the senior leadership team in Richland to ensure continuous improvement of the various departments.

· Perform other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

· Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience/educations combination.

· Excellent writing and communication skills.

· Computer knowledge in MS Office, data entry, tracking and the ability to import/export date.

· Radiation Worker qualified.

· 40 hrs Hazardous Materials Training.

· 10-years experience with Facility Operations.


Primarily working in an office-type environment with occasional time spent in an industrial-type work environment where hot and cold conditions could apply. Facility/field work includes the potential for exposure to radiation, noise, dust, hot and cold temperatures and chemicals. 

Salary Description
$105,000.00-$155,000.00 yearly
