Description

Position Overview: 

The Facilities Supervisor, under the direction of the Facilities Manager, is responsible for coordinating and supporting maintenance activities related to the company’s facilities, equipment, and parts.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Prioritize maintenance and repair activities for company grounds, equipment and parts 
  • Assist with the maintenance, testing, and repair of facility systems, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, structural, and carpentry work 
  • Operate and support material handling equipment, fire protection systems, hazardous waste processes, and sanitation equipment 
  • Support safety initiatives and ensure compliance with OSHA and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations; participate in emergency response as needed 
  • Maintain efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates for accuracy and cost-effectiveness 
  • Coordinate and oversee work performed by external vendors and contractors 
  • Monitor and manage spare parts inventory to ensure adequate supply levels 
  • Ensure all facility vehicles are clean, fueled, and maintained in proper working condition 
  • Partner with the Safety Department to implement and uphold safety policies and procedures 
  • Remain available for on-call support as required
Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Material handling equipment, building maintenance, fire systems, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and schematics
  • Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Experience with budget management

Education/Experience/Training:

  • High School Diploma required, bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years related experience required
  • Must have knowledge of general maintenance and functions of all equipment.
