The Role


This role is primarily responsible for performing electrical disconnects, reconnects, and related electrical work for residential HVAC replacement and installation projects while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with code requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical disconnects and reconnects for residential HVAC system replacements and installations.
  • Install, replace, and upgrade electrical components associated with HVAC equipment, including disconnects, breakers, wiring, whips, and circuits.
  • Ensure all electrical work is completed in compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes.
  • Coordinate with HVAC installation teams to ensure efficient and timely project completion. 
  • Inspect existing electrical systems and identify any code violations or safety concerns. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues related to HVAC installations. 
  • Complete electrical panel connections and circuit modifications as required for HVAC equipment. 
  • Test electrical systems and verify proper operation of HVAC equipment after installation. 
  • Maintain accurate job documentation and communicate project updates to management. 
  • Educate homeowners on electrical upgrades or safety recommendations when appropriate. 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times. 
  • Properly maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment. 
  • Follow all company safety procedures, electrical codes, and quality standards.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Previous residential electrical experience required.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, breakers, disconnects, and code requirements. 
  • Experience performing HVAC reconnects preferred. 
  • Ability to read electrical diagrams and installation specifications. 
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. 
  • Strong communication and customer service skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and professionalism.
