Working Schedule: 6:00AM-4:30PM Monday-Thursday with Friday OT required.
Summary
Directs and leads the Custom Cabinet department in the fabrication of cabinets for environmental test chambers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Oversees all Custom Cabinet team members.
· Supervises all Standard Cabinet team members.
· Orders weekly consumables for the department.
· Performs preventative maintenance on department equipment to ensure optimal performance.
· Conducts problem solving activities to resolve quality issues raised by internal customers.
· Monitors and updates Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to track progress and identify areas of improvement.
· Documents standard procedures.
· Reviews schematics/drawings for accuracy.
· Facilitates daily group meetings.
· Determines daily work assignments to ensure efficient workflow.
· Enforces use of standardized work procedures and work standards.
· Responds to and solves immediate problems within the department.
· Inspects finished assemblies and sends to rework/repair if necessary.
· Monitors and ensures the resolution of Non-Conformance Reports (NCMs).
· Verifies labor tracking for team members and processes timecards.
· Checks Kanban parts and verifies tags are turned in.
· Enforces safety rules and company policies.
· Updates and maintains the training matrix.
· Submits requests to Purchasing for manufacturing supplies and tools needed for the department.
· Determines the labor required for the department, participates in the interview process, trains team members, writes performance reviews, issues disciplinary action, and approves vacation requests.
· Frequently uses hand, power and measuring tools.
· Regular physical attendance is required.
· Other duties as assigned.

Education
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
· Some college is preferred.
· Welding certificate is preferred.
Skills and Experience
· Must have 3-5 years of experience with TIG/MIG welding and fabrication.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide to include fraction and decimal conversions required.
· Ability to read a tape measure required.
· Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), required.
· Ability to operate a forklift, or willingness to learn required (onsite training will be provided).
· Must have proven experience leading and managing teams.
· Previous rigging experience preferred.
