Maintenance Assistant - Assisted Living Facility


Water's Edge of Lake Wales is seeking a dedicated and reliable Maintenance Assistant to join our team at our welcoming assisted living community. This full-time role offers an opportunity to contribute to a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our residents. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent service.


Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility to ensure safety and functionality

- Conduct inspections of common areas, resident rooms, and outdoor spaces

- Assist with preventative maintenance tasks to prolong the lifespan of equipment and facilities

- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs

- Assist with setup and breakdown for community events and activities

- Ensure compliance with safety standards and facility policies


Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in maintenance, repair, or a related field

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Good communication skills

- Flexibility to work some weekends as required

- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance preferred

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Salary Description
18-20 per hour DOE
