This is a full time, onsite role at our Bethlehem, PA facility.

Position Summary:
As the Project Engineering Supervisor, you will lead and direct the Engineering and Design activities for ABEC in order to drive innovation and deliver leading edge products. The Project Engineering Supervisor is an experienced craftsperson who exhibits the principles and practices of ABEC’s leadership. This Manager has personal responsibility for coaching, career development, and technical excellence of direct reports, takes responsibility for eliminating impediments, and actively evolves other departments to meet customer’s needs.
Responsibilities:
· Assists in the hiring, training, evaluation of team members; including managing conflict resolution, administering of performance reviews and documenting disciplinary or performance issues through the use of a performance improvement plan
· Coordinates and directs the work of team members; establishing engineer priorities and schedules based on date-driven customer-focused project requirements, as well as, performing tasks related to Project Engineering.
· Ensures the engineering related tasks are completed on time and on budget, while adhering to the established specifications, standards and procedures.
· Acts as a liaison between team members and the rest of the organization
· Coordinating engineering efforts with the mechanical and electrical teams and project managers, as well as, supporting the resolution of manufacturing issues related to the engineering department.
· Oversee, monitor, and coordinate engineering team member activities, giving importance to individual member's and overall team's achievement of established goals.
· Ensures engineering department goals are aligned with and representative of the overall company's directive, relying on extensive experience to provide leadership and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
· Assists in controlling departmental costs; recommending means to reduce costs and improve efficiency and product quality.
· Assist in the verification of the accuracy and organization of engineering documents and files.
· Assists in the development and maintenance of standard engineering and design practices, internal guidelines and procedures.
· Participate in design reviews and product development meetings.
· Provide status reporting of engineering activities against the project budget or schedule, as well as established departmental metrics.
· Assists in the development of any engineering related labor estimates for proposals.
· Travel to customer job sites and/or worldwide manufacturing facilities as required.
· Execute other duties as required.
Qualifications:
· BS in an Engineering field (Mechanical, Biological, Chemical or equivalent experience).
· 3 years post graduate Engineering experience in related industry and direct experience in a lead Engineer role coordinating and directing the work of other Engineers.
· 5 years post graduate Engineering experience working in a BioPharm or Piping systems market and / or direct experience supporting the manufacture and testing of custom equipment, machinery and components driven by customer specifications preferred.
· 5 years direct work experience in an Engineering leadership role, coordinating and directing the work of others.
· 2 years’ experience in support of automation and control systems engineering related to bioprocesses preferred.
