A day in the life...

The Meridian Banquet Server is responsible for delivering the promised experience to the group being served. They oversee day-of operations, ensuring both the BOH and FOH teams are fully informed of event expectations and details. The Banquet Server ensures the banquets executes the plan outlined in the BEO by the Sales Manager, ensuring all agreed-upon details and any day-of changes are seamlessly carried out. This position reports directly to the Sales Manager and/or Meridian MOD. 


Key Accountabilities:

  

  • Collaborate closely with the Sales Manager to ensure the group’s needs, as outlined in the Banquet Event Order, are met and the promised experience is successfully executed.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of event spaces, including delivering food and beverage orders, refreshing spaces, and resetting at the end of the event. Assist with final transactions at the end of the event as needed. 
  •  Act as the main point of contact on the event day, checking in with the group contact to ensure all needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Address any major issues promptly by escalating them to the manager on duty for quick problem resolution.
  • Adapt to varying job duties based on event size—being the sole server for smaller events or overseeing a team for larger events.
  • Provide clear direction to both the FOH and BOH teams, ensuring everyone understands their role in the event’s success.
  • Maintain a clean and organized event area and banquet storage
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as preparing BEOs, printing menus, labeling banquet tags, and managing banquet inventory.
  •  Be available for split shifts, early mornings, nights, weekends, and occasional holidays as required. Maintain regular and dependable attendance.
  • Ensure compliance with Noble House Hotel Policies, Health Department regulations, and OLCC laws throughout the event.
  • Report to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-Groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
  • Extensive knowledge of Meridian food and beverage menus.
  • Work and act as a team player in all the interactions with the headlands Employees.
  • Coordinate with Meridian kitchen to ensure food order is up to the standard of the brand.
Requirements

  • Must be available to work Banquet events
  • Must have prior food service experience, preferably in a fine dining establishment.
  • Obtain a Food Handler’s Card and O.L.C.C. Permit.
  • Must be available for morning shifts.
  • Must have professional appearance and excellent customer service skills.
  • Speak, read, write, and understand the primary language of the work location.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, stoop, bend, and lift to 50 pounds.
  • Must maintain a tactful, courteous, and cooperative attitude in dealing with managers, guests, and peers.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative and respectful working relationships with team members and others.

Salary Description
$15.55 per hour plus tips
