Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Reports To: Engineering Manager
Division/Department: GHM/Engineering
Level of Work: Level II
Position Summary:
The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for completing custom design and initial drafting of Graham equipment and systems design. Utilizing CAD software, in-house analysis tools and industry-specific design software, the mechanical design engineer will complete mechanical design ensuring the equipment meets the structural requirements, begin modeling of parts and assemblies, and begin creating drawings with appropriate dimensioning and tolerances. A thorough review of the project specifications, customer requirements, and all other project materials appropriate to successfully meet the customer's performance requirements, and Graham's safety and quality requirements, will be required of the mechanical design engineer before and during generation of a mature design. Additionally, national and international code requirements, material properties, manufacturing processes, supply chain constraints, tool design and cost of production must also all be taken into account during the design phase.
