Life Enrichment Coordinator – Continuing Care Retirement Community

As a Life Enrichment Coordinator, you will play a vital role in fostering a positive, active, and supportive environment that promotes well-being, social interaction, and personal growth for our residents.
Full-time position 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday and on a weekend rotation once a month

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, plan, and implement a diverse calendar of recreational, educational, and social activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities
- Foster an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere that encourages participation and community engagement
- Assess residents’ needs and preferences to create personalized activity plans
- Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners to enhance program offerings
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, making adjustments as needed to maximize resident satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of participation and activity feedback
- Promote a culture of respect, dignity, and positivity within the community

Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in activity planning, recreation, or a related field, preferably in senior or healthcare settings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Creativity and enthusiasm for developing engaging programs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents’ needs
- Knowledge of aging processes and best practices in senior engagement is a plus
- Flexibility to adapt activities to various physical and cognitive abilities
