We are currently seeking an IT Specialist to provide both onsite and remote support for our NW Illinois/SW Wisconsin dealerships, based out of our Sterling, IL location. This position is field-based and will use a combination of a company-issued vehicle or reimbursed mileage if a personal vehicle is used. Some overnight travel – a few days a year at most.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide onsite and remote IT support for dealership locations within a 25–100 mile regional radius using a company-issued vehicle or mileage reimbursement.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues (wired and wireless).
  • Manage and resolve Help Desk tickets in a timely, professional manner.
  • Deploy and maintain IT assets, workstations, and infrastructure hardware.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network devices, firewalls, antivirus, and security systems.
  • Perform system upgrades and software installations.
  • Collaborate with end users, other IT Specialists, and regional IT leadership.
  • Occasional out-of-town travel for specialized projects (maybe a few times per year).
Requirements
  • 3+ years of IT support experience, preferably in a multi-site environment required.
  • Associate degree or equivalent hands-on experience in an IT-related field.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills.
  • Broad knowledge across multiple IT Systems (hardware, networking, security, software, etc.).
  • Valid driver’s license and comfort traveling within the assigned region.
