Nexus Family Healing is looking to hire an Executive Clinical Director to join our team at our East Bethel, MN youth & teen psychiatric residential treatment facility!

Pay and Schedule:

  • Full-time, salaried exempt position
  • On-site position:  900 189th Ave NE, East Bethel, MN 55011
  • Starting salary range: $125-135k annually

Position Summary: The Executive Clinical Director serves as the agency's senior clinical leader and subject matter expert, providing strategic oversight and leadership for all clinical, treatment, mental health, and associated medical services. The position is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, evidence-based treatment services that meet regulatory, accreditation, organizational, and payer requirements while achieving positive client outcomes. The role partners closely with agency and corporate leadership to establish clinical excellence, support program growth, and maintain the highest standards of care.


Primary responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all clinical services, treatment programs, and clinical decision-making within the residential treatment program.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, trauma-informed care that aligns with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Oversee client assessments, treatment planning, case management, discharge planning, and continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with medical and psychiatric providers to support integrated treatment services, crisis management, and client safety.
  • Lead clinical quality assurance, compliance, documentation standards, accreditation readiness, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop clinical staff through coaching, training, and clinical supervision.
  • Partner with organizational leadership to enhance treatment services, improve outcomes, and support organizational goals.
  • Serve as a key liaison with families, referral sources, regulatory agencies, payers, and community partners.
  • Support census management, utilization review, authorization processes, and responsible stewardship of clinical resources.
  • Foster a culture of clinical excellence, ethical practice, accountability, and continuous learning.
Requirements

 Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling, or clinically related field
  • State-specific Independent Clinical licensure required: LICSW, LPCC, LMFT, LCPC, LCSW, or LCSW-C
  • 7+ years of related experience in adolescent, adult and family-based behavioral counseling and/or residential experience, or related field
  • 5+ years of related leadership experience
  • Valid driver’s license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Nexus Home Office driving requirements
  • Must successfully pass a DHS or other federal and state criminal background check
  • Must participate, complete, and successfully pass an agency-specific therapeutic intervention/restraint (TCI, HWC, NCI) training and exam
  • Must have the ability to build strong relationships with diverse individuals or communities and understand their unique needs and challenges
  • Must be open to meeting the cultural needs of individuals or communities, considering factors such as language, traditions, and values

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional years of related and supervisory experience
