Puyallup Tribal Health Authority (PTHA) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our medical team. What You'll Do:
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to PTHA patients of all ages, including clinic and assigned off-site locations.
- Perform patient intakes, nursing visits, triage, assessments, vital signs, and monitoring; document and communicate patient needs appropriately.
- Prepare patients and assist providers with examinations, treatments, procedures, immunizations, diagnostic testing, and specimen collection.
- Administer medications and treatments and initiate diagnostic testing within scope of practice and provider orders.
- Provide care management and coordination, including referrals, follow-up, patient education, and support for continuity of care.
- Respond to patient and family questions by phone, electronically, and in person, addressing routine needs and escalating clinical concerns appropriately.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and nursing documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, clinical equipment, instruments, and supplies according to established safety and infection-control standards.
- Participate in community outreach, clinic initiatives, and other activities that support patient care and organizational needs.
- Pediatrics: Support pediatric patients from infancy through adolescence with intake, screenings, preventive care, immunizations, education, care coordination, referrals, and follow-up.
- Pediatrics: Provide age-appropriate support and education to children, parents, and caregivers.
- OB/GYN: Support patients throughout pregnancy and postpartum care through intake, education, care coordination, referrals, testing, and follow-up.
- OB/GYN: Coordinate office procedures and surgical services, including scheduling, pre-operative requirements, authorizations, and communication with hospitals or specialty providers.
- OB/GYN: Collaborate with the OB/GYN care team to support timely, coordinated patient care.

- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Washington State LPN license.
- One (1) year of experience in ambulatory or urgent care.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience starting and maintaining IVs.
- Demonstrated triage and patient assessment skills.
- Current BLS certification.
- Ability to effectively use an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
