Description

 

  1. Market Analysis: Use provided software to analyze market conditions and trends related to pre-owned vehicles.
  2. Vehicle Evaluation: Review vehicle condition reports to assess their overall state.
  3. Pricing Strategy: Determine wholesale and retail prices based on market value and vehicle condition.
  4. Acquisition Process: Work closely with Used Car Managers and the Service Department to purchase vehicles for the dealership.
  5. Customer Interaction: Talk to customers and offer a hands-on, hassle-free appraisal of their vehicle.
  6. Logistics: Handle shipping vehicles to the dealership.
  7. Inspection and Acceptance: Inspect and accept vehicles arriving on-site, resolving discrepancies regarding condition inspections.
  8. Reconditioning: Create and execute a reconditioning action plan to prepare vehicles for retail.

Requirements

 

 Vehicle Acquisition Specialist will need a combination of skills, qualifications, and personal attributes. Here are the key requirements:

  1. Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  2. Self-Motivation: As a specialist, you should be extremely self-motivated, setting and achieving targeted goals.
  3. Customer Experience: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to drive an exceptional customer experience are crucial.
  4. Communication Skills: Demonstrated communication and prospecting abilities are essential.
  5. Organization: Excellent organizational skills are necessary to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  6. Technology: Experience with technology and a desire to work with it can be beneficial.
  7. Minimum of 3 years experience in automotive retail operations. 
  8. Clean driving record, California sales license and the ability to pass a background screening
