What You’ll Do:
You’ll be responsible for programming, operating, and monitoring multiple machines to produce high-quality fins according to work order specifications. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, teamwork, and a proactive mindset.
- Read and interpret detailed work order instructions.
- Load raw aluminum material onto machines using a chain hoist.
- Program and operate multiple machines simultaneously.
- Use basic hand tools such as wrenches and hex keys to make machine adjustments.
- Inspect product quality continuously throughout the process.
- Label, document, and sort fins for the next step in production.
- Perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting on equipment.
- Conduct tolerance checks as required by work instructions.
- Meet daily and weekly production quotas as directed by the Lead or Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe workspace.
- Use basic computer skills to input production data, complete checklists, and follow electronic work instructions.
- Promptly report any equipment or product issues to the Supervisor.
- Follow all environmental and safety procedures as outlined in AKG’s Environmental Management System (EMS).
What We’re Looking For:
- Ability to stand (80%) and walk (20%) during the shift.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, pull, push, twist, and turn.
- Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally (approximately 15% of the time).
- Use of pallet jacks, chain hoists, and other standard shop equipment.
