Description

Quick Care Med is currently seeking a dedicated Receptionist Specialist with billing and coding experience who loves caring for their community and has the desire to help others while working alongside healthcare providers. This position combines front-office patient care responsibilities with medical billing, coding, chart finalization, and claim preparation duties to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of medical billing and coding experience, as well as experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW). Responsibilities include welcoming patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance benefits, collecting payments, reviewing and finalizing patient charts, ensuring documentation is complete, preparing encounters for claim submission, and assisting with billing-related tasks. Strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Requirements

 Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of medical billing and coding experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
  • Understanding of medical insurance verification, claims processing, and payment posting.
  • Experience reviewing and finalizing patient charts for billing and reimbursement.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify documentation discrepancies.
  • Outstanding customer service and patient communication skills.
  • Basic math and cash-handling skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations professionally and adapt to change.
  • Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPR and BLS Certification.
  • Previous Urgent Care or similar setting experience.
  • Coding certification such as CPC, CCS, or equivalent.
  • Experience with insurance authorizations, claim follow-up, and denial management.
