Responsibilities of a Regional Truck Sales Manager entail:
- Prospect and identify potential customers.
- Cultivate sales and revenue growth.
- Build and maintain business relationships with vendors, customers, manufactures, and company personnel.
- Assess present and future needs, market trends, problems, and profit opportunities.
- Create and implement operation plans including budgets, sales, and business plan components such as expenses and assets.
- Monitor data, numbers, sales, customer pricing, and quotas within the assigned region.
- Identify and analyze customer needs and make recommendations accordingly.
- Develop, train, and coach reporting sales representatives on tasks such as selling, customer relations, employee relations, policies, procedures, etc.
- Supervise, manage, and direct the selection, training, development, appraisal, and work assignments of sales representatives.
- Develop, implement, and maintain proper processes in conjunction with the Company and manufactures.
- Communicate with dealerships regarding truck sales activities, inventory practices (planning), wholesale trucks to dealers, financing and leasing programs.
- Maintain appropriate communication within and between all departments within the company.
- Take corrective action when necessary by issuing credits, speaking with customers, and working with other departments to ensure alternative methods are available for the customers.
- Appraise employee performance through coaching, reviews, and evaluations as appropriate.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to interview, screen, and hire employees.
- Review and appraise the results of activities within the department and take appropriate action as necessary.
- Develop employees and identify career advancement opportunities.
- Assist the Accounts Receivable department in collections occasionally.
- Coordinate with Marketing to develop merchandising strategies and advertising programs.

The Requirements to be a Regional Truck Sales Manager:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- 5 years of related experience required
- Prior management experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Proven ability and desire to sell and attain sales targets.
