Arise Staffing is currently seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner for services in support of the Department of Family and Community Medicine (DFCM) at the Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) at Joint Base San Antonio, located on Fort Sam Houston, TX, and associated medical facilities located within a 40-mile radius.

Work Schedule: The FNP will be available to provide support services Monday through Saturday from 0600–2000 hours daily according to the Department of Family Medicine’s scheduling of shifts ranging from 8-10 hours per day, 32-40 hours per week, excluding overtime.
Job Duties:
- Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients of all ages with any symptom, illness, injury, or condition
- Provide a full range of NP services in primary and specialty medical care within the limits of training and privileges granted by MTF
- Technically direct and provide care for a variety of diseases and types of injuries (acute, chronic, and minor trauma)
- Recognize emergency conditions in order to diagnose, prescribe for, and treat diseases, disorders, and injuries
- Refer complex cases and serious conditions to qualified medical personnel and perform designated treatment
- Promote preventive care and health maintenance, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self-care through both formal and individual education and counseling.
Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience within the last three (3) years providing services as a practicing Family Nurse Practitioner.
Education: Candidates must be a graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner Training Program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association or its predecessors.
Certification: Must be licensed registered nurses certified in family medicine by the American Nursing Certification Center or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Licensure: Required to have and maintain a current, valid, unrestricted license to legally practice in at least one (1)
of the 50 states in the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. Territory.
Life Support Certification: Must have and maintain a current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Security/Clearance: Must be able to pass a Federal Government background check and obtain a T1 Clearance.
