Description

  

We are seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Registered Nurse to join our Home Infusion team in the Richmond, Virginia area. This role provides 1:1 skilled nursing care to patients receiving IV medications, biologics, and specialty therapies in the comfort of their homes, with occasional support in our Infusion Center.

What You’ll Do

  • Administer IV infusion therapies and manage peripheral and central lines, including PICCs and ports.
  • Assess patients before, during, and after infusions and recognize potential adverse reactions or complications.
  • Provide patient and caregiver education on medication administration, line care, infection prevention, and symptom monitoring.
  • Perform line care, troubleshooting, sterile dressing changes, and lab draws as needed.
  • Respond to emergencies within scope and follow established protocols, including anaphylaxis procedures.
  • Complete timely, accurate documentation in the EMR.
  • Review patient assessments and laboratory results and communicate changes or concerns to physicians, pharmacists, and leadership.
  • Coordinate care with prescribers, home infusion pharmacists, patients, caregivers, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Support individualized care planning while respecting each patient's dignity, autonomy, culture, and rights.
  • Schedule and coordinate home visits and manage daily travel to patient homes.
  • Maintain required equipment, supplies, safety checks, and regulatory documentation.
  • Participate in quality initiatives and support referral and provider relationships as needed.

  • Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
  • Valid driver's license and ability to safely travel to patient homes

Setting: Patient Homes + Infusion Center as needed

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Nursing; current, active and unrestricted RN license in the state of practice and current CPR certification (BLS minimum) required. 

Experience: Minimum of one year experience providing nursing care required. Infusion experience required. Telephone, MS Office and computer/keyboard skills required. Previous EMR experience preferred. Must be knowledgeable of operations processes and guidelines for communication and PHI.

Salary Description
$87,360.00-$97,760.00
