Western Reserve Academy (WRA) is seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Swim Coach for the 2026-27 season. The Assistant High School Swimming Coach supports the Head Coach in developing a competitive, positive, and student-centered swim program. This position is responsible for assisting with daily practices, meet preparation, athlete development, and fostering sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth among student-athletes. The Assistant Coach serves as a positive role model and helps create a safe, organized, and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting daily swim practices.
- Promote a culture of sportsmanship, leadership, and personal growth in line with WRA’s values.
- Supervise student-athletes during practices, meets, travel, and team activities.
- Assist with meet preparation, including lineups, meet setup, timing, scoring, and event organization.
- Support team logistics, including transportation and equipment management.
- Communicate effectively with the Head Coach, student-athletes, parents, and athletic department staff.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to student-athletes both in and out of the pool.
- Previous competitive swimming and/or coaching experience.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel with the team as required.
