Spatial Front, Inc. (SFI) is seeking a BI Analytic Developer to support our growing modernization team. The ideal candidate will perform hands-on technical work to modernize business intelligence and analytics capabilities supporting PeopleSoft HCM and related enterprise systems, including migration of an on-premises BI and data warehouse environment to Oracle cloud-based analytics services. This role requires strong experience with Oracle Analytics Server (OAS), Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), SQL, reporting, semantic modeling, data visualization, and enterprise data structures. The candidate will work closely with BI leadership, data engineers, functional teams, developers, DBAs, and infrastructure teams to deliver modern, reliable, and secure analytics capabilities for Federal Government customers.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and support reports, analyses, dashboards, and data visualizations using Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC).
- Translate business and analytical requirements into technical BI solutions, including subject areas, semantic models, calculations, filters, prompts, KPIs, dashboards, and reusable reporting components.
- Design and maintain database views, schemas, reporting structures, metadata, and data relationships needed to support enterprise analytics and self-service reporting.
- Develop and optimize SQL used for reporting, data analysis, reconciliation, validation, and troubleshooting across Oracle databases and warehouse structures.
- Support modernization of the on-premises BI and data warehouse environment to Oracle cloud analytics, including assessment, redesign, migration, validation, and transition of reports, dashboards, models, and supporting data assets.
- Analyze existing OAS and legacy BI content and recommend how to rationalize, redesign, consolidate, or migrate reports and dashboards to OAC while preserving business logic and data accuracy.
- Work with data engineers and database teams to understand source-to-target mappings, pipelines, transformations, dimensional models, data marts, and warehouse dependencies supporting analytics solutions.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation between source systems, warehouse layers, and BI outputs; investigate discrepancies and support root-cause analysis of reporting and data-quality issues.
- Design analytics solutions for performance, scalability, usability, maintainability, and secure access, including optimization of queries, joins, aggregates, filters, visualizations, and semantic logic.
- Participate in testing, defect resolution, migration, release, and change-management activities for BI and analytics assets across development, test, and production environments.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including report specifications, data mappings, semantic-model documentation, deployment procedures, migration inventories, and support guidance.
- Collaborate with BI leadership, Product Owners, analysts, data engineers, developers, and stakeholders in an Agile/SAFe environment to prioritize modernization work and deliver incremental analytics capabilities.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- 3+ years of hands-on business intelligence, analytics, reporting, or data development experience in complex enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Analytics Server (OAS), Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), OBIEE, or related Oracle analytics technologies, including creation of reports, dashboards, analyses, and visualizations.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with Oracle databases, relational schemas, views, joins, aggregations, and complex enterprise data structures.
- Experience designing or working with semantic models, subject areas, logical/physical data models, metadata layers, dimensional models, or star schemas.
- Experience troubleshooting report logic, performance, data discrepancies, and production BI issues through structured analysis and validation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with BI, data, application, infrastructure, and business teams.
Desired Skills
- Experience modernizing or migrating enterprise BI, reporting, or data warehouse capabilities from on-premises environments to OCI, OAC, or another cloud analytics platform.
- Knowledge of data engineering concepts including ETL/ELT, data pipelines, transformations, orchestration, source-to-target mappings, data quality, and warehouse loading patterns.
- Experience with Oracle BI semantic modeling, including Repository (RPD) concepts, subject areas, logical business models, physical layers, calculations, hierarchies, and security.
- Experience with data warehouse and dimensional modeling concepts including facts, dimensions, slowly changing dimensions, data marts, and analytical schemas.
- Experience supporting PeopleSoft HCM reporting, analytics, queries, interfaces, or related HR data structures is a plus.
- Experience with Oracle reporting technologies such as BI Publisher, PeopleSoft Query, XML Publisher, or similar tools used alongside OAS/OAC is a plus.
- Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments and using Azure DevOps (ADO) or a similar tool to manage backlog items, defects, and delivery work.
- Experience working in secured federal or DoD environments is preferred.
- Oracle Analytics, OCI, database, data engineering, or related BI/data certification is a plus.
