Cherokee Town & Country Club, one of America’s premier private clubs, is seeking a full-time Golf Shop Attendant to join our Golf team.
As a Golf Shop Attendant, you will be a welcoming point of contact for our members and guests while helping keep the Golf Shop and daily golf operations running smoothly. You will play an important role in delivering the exceptional experience our members expect. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Greet all members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Support daily operations at the Golf Shop counter.
- Register member and guest play and accurately enter related charges.
- Answer Golf Shop calls and assist with questions about services, events, and general Golf operations.
- Handle sales transactions including cash, credit card, and member charges.
- Assist the Director of Retail and Merchandisers with daily golf shop responsibilities.
- Ensure the Golf Shop is consistently well-stocked by filling in golf balls, gloves, tees, etc.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Director of Golf as needed.
- Provide a high level of customer service and sales support throughout the Golf Shop.
- Help ensure the Golf Shop remains organized, professional, and member-ready.
- Assist wherever needed to support the Golf operation and overall member experience.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, golf, hospitality, or another member-facing environment.
- Strong hospitality and interpersonal skills.
- Professional verbal communication and demeanor.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a member-facing environment.
- Comfort working with transactions, charges, invoices, records, and inventory.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Dependability, initiative, and a genuine willingness to help.
EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE
- Previous private club, golf shop, golf operation, retail, or hospitality experience.
- Experience with point-of-sale systems, inventory, merchandising, or transaction processing.
- General knowledge of or an interest in golf and golf operations.
SCHEDULE
This position requires a flexible schedule based on the needs of the Golf Department. Availability may include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, tournaments, and special events.
