Industrial Designer

Are you a creative problem-solver who can turn ideas into innovative, real-world products?
PFI InStore is looking for a talented Industrial Designer to help create exciting merchandising displays, fixtures, and custom product solutions for leading customers and brands.
In this role, you'll combine creativity, technical design skills, and manufacturing knowledge to take concepts from sketch to presentation to production. You'll collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Production, and customers to develop visually compelling, functional, and manufacturable solutions.
What You'll Do
- Design innovative custom displays, fixtures, and merchandising solutions using materials such as wood, metal, glass, wire, steel, and plastic.
- Transform ideas into sketches, 3D models, renderings, and compelling customer presentations.
- Develop creative concepts that balance aesthetics, functionality, cost, customer needs, and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Production, and customers throughout the product development process.
- Participate in and lead product development meetings to help drive project direction.
- Work directly with customers and assist in presenting and pitching innovative concepts.
- Leverage manufacturing capabilities across PFI InStore and our affiliated companies to bring great ideas to life.
- Help elevate our customer presentations through high-quality renderings, in-scene imagery, and visual storytelling.
- Contribute creative content and ideas for marketing and social media campaigns.
- Stay current on design trends, materials, technology, and manufacturing processes.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related design field.
- 2–4 years of experience in industrial, product, or related design.
- Strong concept sketching skills; digital or tablet sketching preferred.
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling, preferably SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with photorealistic rendering software.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and general office applications.
- Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
- Strong creative thinking, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across teams.
