Our Leadership Expectations guide how we lead:

Own It | Lead with Respect | Win as One Team | Learn and Elevate | Leave Them Better Position Summary

Hotel Saint Vincent is looking for an experienced Housekeeping Manager to lead the daily housekeeping operation and uphold exceptional standards of cleanliness, care, and presentation throughout the hotel. This hands-on leader will oversee room readiness, public-area cleanliness, team performance, scheduling, supplies, and the consistent execution of Hotel Saint Vincent standards.

The ideal candidate is a thoughtful and highly organized leader with a keen eye for detail, strong operational judgment, and genuine care for both guests and team members. This role works closely with Rooms, Front Office, Engineering, and hotel leadership to ensure every space is prepared with intention and every guest feels cared for.

Key Responsibilities

Own It

We take responsibility for outcomes, not excuses.

  • Lead daily housekeeping operations, including morning assignments, room prioritization, inspections, public-area coverage, turndown as applicable, and end-of-day handoffs.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the hotel, identify needs before they become issues, and take ownership of room-readiness concerns through resolution.
  • Monitor labor, productivity, linen, guest supplies, equipment, lost and found, and departmental expenses to protect quality, accuracy, and profitability.
  • Manage the departmental budget and oversee purchasing and inventory levels based on occupancy forecasts and operational needs.

Lead with Respect

We treat people, ideas, and commitments with dignity.

  • Build thoughtful schedules and daily assignments that align staffing with occupancy, arrivals, departures, and business needs while remaining fair and predictable.
  • Provide clear direction and timely feedback, correcting privately, recognizing publicly, and following through on commitments to the team.
  • Foster a professional and respectful workplace where room attendants, housepersons, public-area attendants, and supervisors feel supported, heard, and accountable.

Win as One Team

We succeed together.

  • Partner closely with Front Office to prioritize arrivals, communicate room status accurately, and resolve discrepancies or guest needs promptly.
  • Collaborate proactively with Engineering, Laundry, Food and Beverage, Sales, and Events on maintenance needs, VIPs, groups, special events, and anything affecting the guest experience.
  • Step in wherever needed, including inspecting rooms, delivering guest requests, supporting public-area upkeep, or helping the team complete assignments during peak periods.

Learn and Elevate

We grow ourselves and others every day.

  • Coach, mentor, and develop housekeeping team members to strengthen quality, productivity, consistency, and accountability.
  • Lead thorough training on cleaning procedures, room presentation, chemical and equipment use, safety, guest privacy, lost and found, and service standards.
  • Use inspections, guest feedback, productivity results, and operational observations to identify opportunities and continually improve the department.

Leave Them Better

We make every interaction meaningful.

  • Ensure guestrooms, corridors, public spaces, offices, and back-of-house areas are consistently clean, well maintained, and presented to Hotel Saint Vincent standards.
  • Approach guest requests and service recovery with urgency, discretion, and care, creating thoughtful solutions that restore confidence.
  • Protect the condition and character of the hotel by identifying damage, maintenance concerns, and safety issues promptly and ensuring appropriate follow-through.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of housekeeping leadership experience in a hotel, resort, or luxury hospitality environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, room inspections, cleaning standards, linen and inventory controls, and labor management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through, with the ability to balance quality, productivity, and guest needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to provide clear direction and timely feedback.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, respond calmly to changing business needs, and maintain discretion with guest and employee information.
  • Experience with hotel property management, housekeeping, scheduling, and inventory systems is preferred.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills are strongly preferred.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary commensurate with experience
  • Bonus potential
  • Unlimited paid time off
  • MML property discounts across hotels, restaurants, and retail
  • Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Parental leave
