Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Compensation: Salary + RVU (for experienced NPs: $112,000 - $120,000). 

Employment Type: W-2 Full-Time, Exempt

Schedule: Minimum of 32 hours/week. 38 hours/week preferred. Mon – Fri. Either 4, 9 hour days or 5, 8 hour days. Remote day option available upon reaching required patient capacity. 

Location: Onsite at Cherry Creek Office (300 S Jackson St, Denver, CO)


Role Summary

We are looking for a  Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner  to become part of the Denver Wellness team! Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, manage, and treat psychiatric patients.
  • Provide medication management and patient education, including education related to Spravato, ketamine, TMS, and psychotherapy.
  • Coordinate treatment with therapists, physicians, and other care-team members.
  • Maintain systematic follow-up and modify care plans as appropriate, including referrals and consultations.
  • Maintain required prescriptive authority, licensure, certifications, and credentialing.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and contribute positively to a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
  • Establishes systematic follow-up for evaluation of the plan of care and reassesses and modifies the plan, as necessary, including initiation of referrals and consultation with other health care providers as appropriate

Schedule & Work Model

  • Either 4, 9 hour days or 5, 8 hour days
  • Practice hours generally run from 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
  • Appointments are typically 60 minutes for intakes and 30 minutes for follow-ups.
  • Administrative time is built in midday and at the end of the day
  • One remote workday may be available after reaching 75% capacity.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation:
  • Experienced PMHNP: $112,000 for the first 3 months and then $100,000 + RVUs (anticipated annualized at $120,000)

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner educational program.
  • Current PMHNP certification.
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) registration in Colorado, or      eligibility to obtain and maintain Colorado licensure and APRN registration.
  • Eligible for and able to maintain Colorado prescriptive authority within the PMHNP's role and population focus.
  • Current DEA registration, or ability to obtain and maintain DEA registration, as required for prescribing controlled substances in Colorado.
  • Ability to maintain required credentials, professional liability coverage, and prescribing compliance.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Approximately three years of experience is preferred; new graduates are welcome.
