Position Summary 

Chartis Federal is seeking a Project Manager (PMP) providing project management, business support, and records management services to the customer. 


This role provides IT project management support across up to 10 concurrent projects of varying size and complexity, working directly with the customer’s staff to manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, and reporting in a fast-paced federal law enforcement operational environment. Onsite at Washington, DC (minimum 2 days/week onsite; telework eligible after 2-month onboarding period).


This position is contingent upon award.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Provide IT project management support across up to 10 concurrent projects of varying size and complexity 
  • Work with the customers staff to ensure adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget 
  • Assist in defining project scope and objectives in coordination with stakeholders 
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including plans, requirements, communications, and agendas 
  • Identify and track risks and issues through to resolution 
  • Manage approved changes to scope, schedule, and cost 
  • Report project status to management, staff, and stakeholders 
  • Apply appropriate project management methodologies (Agile, Kanban, or Waterfall) based on project needs 
  • Monitor project performance using standard tools such as MS Project, Microsoft Teams (Planner/Planner Premium), SharePoint, ServiceNow, or comparable PPM dashboards 
  • Support PMO activities, including coordinating internal reviews and tracking completion of findings 
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing IT projects of varying size and complexity, including enterprise-level initiatives 
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (required) 
  • Active Agile certification (required) — Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) 
  • Ability to pass a criminal history check and fingerprinting, and to obtain a USCP identification/access badge 
  • Ability to work onsite in Washington, DC a minimum of 2 days per week following a 2-month full-onsite onboarding period 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience supporting federal law enforcement, Legislative Branch, or other federal government clients 
  • Experience operating within a formal Project Management Office (PMO) governance structure 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Planner Premium, ServiceNow, and SharePoint-based project reporting 
  • Experience supporting IT modernization or enterprise application initiatives
