About the Role:

We are seeking a Product Engineering Supervisor to provide first-line leadership for engineering personnel and daily engineering operations within an electronics manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for coordinating day-to-day engineering activities, assigning work, monitoring performance, supporting employee development, and ensuring engineering deliverables are completed in alignment with operational priorities and customer requirements. The Product Engineering Supervisor works closely with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, program management, and operational leadership teams to support production continuity, technical issue resolution, engineering change implementation, and operational readiness.

Job Title: Product Engineering Supervisor

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday;  8am-5pm

Work Location: On-site | North Logan, UT

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily engineering activities and prioritize engineering workloads to support operational requirements, customer commitments, and departmental objectives. 
• Assign work, monitor progress, and ensure engineering tasks and deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule. 
• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to engineering personnel. 
• Support employee onboarding, training, skills development, and performance management activities. 
• Monitor employee productivity, workload distribution, attendance, and utilization to support efficient department operations. 
• Coordinate engineering support activities related to manufacturing operations, product support, engineering changes, technical documentation, and issue resolution. 
• Support implementation of engineering change orders, process improvements, corrective actions, and operational initiatives. 
• Review engineering documentation, technical records, and departmental deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards. 
• Assist with troubleshooting technical, manufacturing, product, and process-related issues affecting operational performance. 
• Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, program management, and other cross-functional teams to support production and customer requirements. 
• Escalate resource constraints, technical concerns, operational risks, and staffing needs to engineering management as appropriate. 
• Monitor departmental performance metrics and support achievement of engineering, quality, delivery, and operational objectives. 
• Support compliance with customer requirements, engineering standards, quality system requirements, regulatory obligations, and organizational procedures. 
• Participate in customer meetings, audits, technical reviews, and operational discussions as required. 
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. 
• Maintain accurate records, reports, employee documentation, and departmental information. 
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

ITAR Citizenship Requirements- Must be U.S. persons within the definition of ITAR, with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. We can not sponsor visas.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical and/or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering, technical, manufacturing, product support, or related experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory, team lead, project leadership, or personnel management experience.
• Experience supporting engineering operations within a manufacturing, electronics manufacturing services (EMS), or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, engineering documentation, manufacturing processes, product lifecycle management, and engineering change management.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, personnel, and operational demands within a fast-paced environment.
• Experience utilizing ERP systems, PLM systems, engineering software, and business management tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint and CAD.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment regarding technical, customer, and organizational information.
• Experience with of Counterfeit Avoidance, Tin Whisker Mitigation, RoHS, and REACH.
• Works well independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities at the same time.
• Understanding customer document packages to establish multi-level bills of materials for assemblies of electrical components and manufacturing materials.
• Knowledge of quality standards/quality notes for electrical components.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Experience supporting electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, contract manufacturing, aerospace, defense, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, or operational excellence methodologies.
• Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI), manufacturing readiness, product lifecycle management, or engineering process improvement activities.
• Experience supporting customer technical reviews, audits, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Professional Engineer (PE), PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, or related professional certification.
• Experience utilizing advanced engineering, analytics, or project management tools.
• Experience with SiliconExpert and Arena software.

Compensation: This is an Exempt position with an annual salary of $100,000-$130,000/year based on experience. Compensation will be based on relevant experience, education, technical expertise, and leadership experience, including experience in manufacturing engineering, electronics manufacturing, component engineering, engineering operations, and related regulated manufacturing environments.
