Teacher's Aide - Residential Facility
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher's Aide to join our residential facility team. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers and educational staff in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
- Support residents with daily learning, social, and behavioral needs
- Supervise and ensure the safety of residents during educational and recreational activities
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming learning environment
- Collaborate with team members to develop individualized support plans
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to residents
- Assist with record-keeping and documentation related to residents' progress
Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma is required. Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Previous experience in a classroom setting is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with special needs preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and behavior management techniques
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment
