Job Summary
The Hospitality Concierge provides exceptional food service, hospitality, and personalized resident support to create a positive dining experience. This position performs the essential duties of the Dining Services Assistant while serving as a key liaison between residents and Dining Services.
The Hospitality Concierge builds relationships with residents, identifies and follows up on dining needs and preferences, communicates feedback and concerns to the Dining team, and collaborates with Assisted Living, Health Care, and other departments to ensure residents feel heard, valued, supported, and satisfied.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in restaurant, food service, hospitality, or dining preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and a hospitality-focused approach.
- Ability to build positive relationships with residents and respond appropriately to individual needs and preferences.
- Strong listening, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and prioritize responsibilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Dining Services, Assisted Living, Health Care, and other departments.
Essential Responsibilities
Resident Hospitality & Engagement
- Develop positive, professional relationships with residents and provide personalized hospitality.
- Serve as a consistent point of contact for dining needs, preferences, questions, and concerns.
- Visit residents dining in their rooms and take orders for the following day.
- Follow up with residents regarding food quality, meal selection, service, and dining preferences.
- Identify and communicate resident needs, concerns, requests, and preferences to the appropriate Dining team member or supervisor.
- Provide meaningful conversation and interaction while respecting professional boundaries, privacy, dignity, and individual preferences.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to the dietary, nutritional, physical, and hospitality needs of an aging population.
- Recognize residents’ birthdays and provide approved birthday items when appropriate for their diet.
- Contact a CNA or appropriate team member when a resident requests assistance outside the scope of Dining Services.
Dining Service
- Take resident orders, deliver food, refill beverages, clear and reset tables, and provide attentive dining service.
- Follow meal service instructions, dietary modifications, allergies, portion requirements, preferences, and special instructions.
- Prepare and deliver meal trays as assigned.
- Ensure meals meet food safety, dietary, temperature, portion, presentation, and resident preference requirements.
- Provide assistance while respecting resident independence, dignity, and preferences.
- Communicate resident feedback regarding food, service, preferences, and dining experiences to the Dining team.
- Stock and maintain kitchenettes and designated dining areas.
- Assist with food preparation and special events as assigned.
- Post menus and support scheduled dining functions.
Sanitation, Safety & Operations
- Maintain clean, safe, organized, and welcoming food preparation, dining, kitchen, and kitchenette areas.
- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, serving trays, and work areas.
- Safely operate assigned kitchen and dishwashing equipment.
- Properly stock, store, label, date, and rotate food and condiments according to food safety standards.
- Receive and stock food deliveries using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures as assigned.
- Monitor expiration dates and product rotation.
- Follow procedures for cleaning chemicals, sanitizing solutions, waste disposal, and workplace safety.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Communication & Teamwork
- Serve as a liaison between residents and Dining Services.
- Collaborate with Assisted Living, Health Care, and other departments to support resident dining needs.
- Follow up on resident concerns and requests to support timely communication and resolution.
- Assist with onboarding and training new employees while modeling excellent hospitality and professionalism.
- Participate in required meetings, training, in-services, continuing education, and emergency preparedness activities.
- Maintain dependable attendance, punctuality, professional appearance, and required dress code.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position works primarily indoors in kitchen, dining room, resident living, and healthcare environments.
The employee must be able to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, pull, and lift objects weighing up to 30 pounds, with occasional lifting or moving of objects weighing more than 50 pounds. The position requires manual dexterity, visual and auditory acuity, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
The position involves general food service and kitchen hazards, including kitchen equipment, cleaning and sanitizing chemicals, and wet floors. Slip-resistant footwear is required.
