Description
The main responsibility of a parts puller is to retrieve specific parts or materials from storage areas and prepare them for use in production or distribution.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Receiving orders from supervisors or computer systems for specific parts or materials needed for production or distribution.
- Locating the requested items in storage areas and verifying their accuracy and condition.
- Retrieving the items and moving them to the appropriate production or distribution area.
- Keeping records of materials pulled and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Assisting with other warehouse duties as needed, such as receiving, packing, or shipping.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and understand work orders and inventory records.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in pulling and verifying parts and materials.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and move items for extended periods of time.
- Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment, such as hand trucks or pallet jacks.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift min 50 pounds.
