Description

The Human Resource Generalist - Talent and Systems position supports a broad range of HR functions with focus on talent acquisition, employee development, HR processes, and HRIS administration.  The role serves as a resource to employees and leaders throughout the employee lifecycle by ensuring HR systems, processes and practices are accurate and aligned with organizational needs.  The ideal candidate is highly organized, relationship-oriented, and comfortable balancing people-focused responsibilities with technology, data, and process management.


Job responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and support the full recruitment and onboarding processes while maintaining accurate records of employment documentation. 
  •  Provide consultative support to supervisors and campus leaders on employee lifecycle, talent management, performance, and HR policy matters. Support talent management initiatives across campus and in all stages of the employee lifecycle.
  • Assist with performance management, employee development, career planning, and succession planning processes.
  • Help maintain and grow programs designed to support employee engagement, retention, and development.
  • Respond to employee concerns, workplace issues, and policy questions; assist with investigations and conflict resolution as appropriate to ensure consistent application and administration of policies.
  •  Collaborate with HR colleagues, campus leaders, payroll, benefits, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure effective and consistent delivery of HR services. 
  • Serve as key administrator of HRIS and related systems to ensure maintenance of accurate employee, position, and organizational data. Generate and maintain reports to support campus functions and to complete data surveys as required.
  • Provide systems support and resources for employees and supervisors and drive process improvements to continue to better support campus needs.  
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and college information while handling sensitive situations with a high level of discretion.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in business, management, human resources, or related field with 2-5 years of effective experience. 
  • PHR/SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • Previous HRIS database applications experience with proficiency in report writing tools preferred. Paylocity experience a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication, attention to detail and data analysis skills required.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and senior leaders required.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, policies, and regulations required.
