Part-Time Care Coordinator – $50/Hour – Flexible Around Your Classes/Life

Portland, ME & Biddeford, ME | Alternative Wellness Services

Pay: Up to $50 per hour of direct client service (fee-for-service)

Earn up to $50/hour while building your career:

Looking for a student job that pays well and gives you experience you can use after graduation?

This position pays up to $50/hour, offers flexibility around your classes, and gives you meaningful, hands-on experience supporting adults living with mental health challenges - experience that can strengthen your resume for graduate school, future careers, and beyond.

What is a Care Coordinator?

A Care Coordinator, also known as a case manager, is part coach, part advocate, and part problem-solver.

You'll work one-on-one with adults living with mental health challenges, helping them overcome the everyday obstacles that can stand between them and a more stable, independent life.

You're not a therapist - you're the person who helps make things happen.

That might mean:

  • Connecting clients with community resources and healthcare providers
  • Helping clients navigate complicated systems
  • Supporting clients in finding and maintaining housing
  • Accompanying clients to appointments
  • Helping clients apply for benefits and other assistance
  • Connecting clients with opportunities to build relationships and become more involved in their community

And you're never doing it alone. You'll be part of a collaborative care team that includes peer support staff, other Care Coordinators, a nurse, clinicians, and additional support professionals.

What You'll Do:

Your goal is to help clients live as independently as possible while providing the support and skill-building they need to navigate everyday life.

You'll:

  • Meet with clients at our office, in their homes, or in the community to check in on their progress and goals
  • Help clients apply for housing, MaineCare, SNAP, and disability benefits
  • Make calls with clients to schedule medical appointments or address problems with landlords and other providers
  • Accompany clients to appointments or arrange transportation through MTM/ModivCare
  • Connect clients with food pantries, employment programs, support groups, counseling, and other community resources
  • Document your visits in our electronic records system (we'll train you)

FLEXIBLE. MEANINGFUL. CAREER-BUILDING.

You'll carry a small caseload in the Portland, Biddeford, or Sanford area and schedule client visits around your class schedule and other commitments.

We're looking for students who are dependable, compassionate, organized, and genuinely interested in helping people.

This is a part-time commitment, but we are looking for someone who can make a consistent commitment of at least one year.

If you're looking for a job that pays $50/hour, works around your schedule, and gives you experience that actually matters, this could be a great fit.

  • Up to $50 for every hour of direct service to clients
  • Mileage reimbursement for community visits
