Position: Part-time, hourly, non-exempt 

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–12:00 PM — 15 hours per week 

Pay: $21.50–$22.00 per hour, based on experience. 

RSM Christian School is seeking a warm, dependable, and flexible Preschool/Pre-K Assistant to support our early childhood classrooms. This position provides consistent teacher break coverage and additional classroom assistance throughout the morning. 

The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children, collaborates well with teachers, and supports our school’s Christian mission.

Responsibilities

• Provide teacher break coverage while maintaining attentive supervision and required licensing ratios.
• Prepare classroom materials and assist with learning activities.
• Support daily routines and transitions.
• Provide one-on-one student support under the lead teacher’s direction.
• Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and organized classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with teachers and follow established classroom procedures.
   

Required Qualifications

• Appropriate 12 ECE units and qualifications to provide classroom coverage and count toward required licensing ratios. 
• A patient, caring approach to working with young children.
• Dependability, flexibility, and strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to support RSM Christian School’s Christian mission.
• Ability to meet applicable background clearance and training requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with preschool-age children.
• Availability to work additional hours as a substitute when teachers are absent. Additional hours will depend on program needs and employee availability.
