Description
Export Specialist | ClearFreight
Freight doesn’t move itself, and export shipments don’t clear themselves. At ClearFreight, our Export Specialists keep cargo moving from the U.S. to destinations worldwide: booking it, documenting it, keeping it compliant, and keeping customers in the loop the whole way. If you know your way around an EEI filing and stay calm when a carrier rolls a booking, we want to talk to you.
What you’ll own
- Shipment coordination: Book and manage international shipments by ocean, air, and land, keeping schedules on track and customer requirements met.
- Documentation: Prepare and review export docs, including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, and EEI filings through AES.
- Compliance: Keep every shipment in line with U.S. export regulations, every time.
- Carrier and vendor relationships: Work directly with ocean carriers, airlines, customs brokers, and truckers to secure space and execute to the customer’s plan.
- Customer communication: Give proactive status updates, fix export issues fast, and be the person clients trust to have answers.
- Risk management: Spot delays, customs holds, and compliance risks early, and handle them before they become problems.
- Billing and cost control: Verify freight invoices, make sure costs land in the right place, and help resolve disputes.
- Collaboration: Partner with sales, pricing, and warehouse teams so the whole operation runs smoothly.
- Process improvement: See a better way to do it? Say so. We want your ideas for tightening workflows and improving the customer experience.
